SDM503 represents the perfect solution for the retail back offices, but it goes even beyond this. It is the perfect combination between a TCR and a deposit unit. SDM503, as first device on the market, has three recycling drums having a capacity up to 300 notes each, and has a practical bag for storing notes and collection the money. The extremely compact top plate is made of an input tray which contains up to 30 banknotes at a time, a simple and functional notes’ transport, an exit tray which contains up to 15 notes, a top cover customizable in color and a BV5000 authenticity sensor, manufactured by CIMA and certified by the European Central Bank. The BV5000 bill validator is a full-image sensor, which combines the most innovative technologies on the market offering improved functionalities and more room for possible customizations. The 3 banknotes/sec input speed is ideal to manage medium cash volumes,
including the possibility to feed in small bunches (maximum 40 notes). Thanks to the special combination between cash-in and cash-out functionalities, SDM503 is the perfect tool for the retail back office with up to 10 cash points, for the preparation of the teller’s shift start kit and the shift end deposit.
SDM503 can be Interfaced with coin handling device so that, combining the two modules, it will be possible to offer a complete solution to the customer: it will be possible to exchange money, to give back change both coins and notes, according to customer’s needs. A user-friendly interface equipped with a PC board and other important components, completes the work: the operator identifies himself through the Dallas key or the card reader and follows his deposit on a colorful and reliable touch screen, and then prints his own receipt. The device operating software, called CAOS, stores all data, which can be recalled to produce a daily-credit on your bank account, provided the device is fully integrated in the bank system. SDM503 has the escrow function: deposited notes will be stored Into a recycling drum, and can be called back by the user, in case of uncertainty on what has been deposited. It is possible (according to the configuration) to deposit notes directly into the bag inside the safe.
CIMA offers two kinds of bags: the high capacity canvas bag containing up to 4,000 notes locked by a cover and manually sealed: the heat self-sealing disposable bag, contains up to 3,000 notes and seals automatically when the vault is accessed. No longer will dual control be required, which results in a remarkable cost saving. The maintenance footprint is minimized since it is possible to remove
completely the recycling drums’ frame from the safe, put it on a table and maintain the device comfortably.
